Laminate Shingles

Laminate shingles are also known as “laminated architectural” or just “architectural” shingles.

They are a superior type of asphalt shingle, built with a heavier, fiberglass base mat and multiple material layers of a refined type of asphalt.

Laminate shingles, with their fiberglass mats, are more durable than traditional 3-tab asphalt shingles, which have a less-resilient paper mat. They can withstand strong winds and intense weather conditions, extending the life of your roof by as much as 20 years when compared with 3-tab! Laminated shingles typically last 30-35 years with proper maintenance.

These shingles are also aesthetically appealing, giving a ‘dimensional’ look to the roof due to their multiple layers. They can be styled to imitate more expensive types of roofing, such as cedar.
